Meet the Teacher...Mrs. Siciliano
My name is Mrs. Siciliano and the 2017/2018 school year will be my fifteenth year teaching fifth grade at Harwood Elementary School. Harwood is a great school and I am very proud to be a part of such a wonderful community of students, parents, and staff.
I really enjoy teaching fifth grade because of all the wonderful activities and events that we get to be a part of during the school year. I love having the opportunity to help prepare the fifth grade students for their next important journey to middle school.
I attended Oakland University where I graduated and received my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education in December of 2002. I completed my student teaching experience at Harwood Elementary and was thrilled to obtain a teaching position shortly after graduating. I cannot think of a better place to work. I completed my Master's Degree in Integrating Technology in the Classroom from Walden University. I have continued my education by taking classes in mathematics, reading instruction, and technology. I love finding new ways to incorporate my newfound technology skills into my classroom.
I grew up in Warren, Michigan and attended Green Acres Elementary School, Fuhrmann Middle School, and Warren Mott High School. My husband and I met in high school and were married in July, 2004. My husband is a mechanical engineer for Continental Automotive. We spend most of our time at home entertaining our children, Adriana and Giovanni, who were born on August 24, 2011, and Giuliana, who was born on December 14, 2012. Although they keep us extremely busy, we wouldn't trade them or the memories we make with them for anything! They have been a truly amazing gift!
